it’s sale time again

… but then it’s always sale time these days. Shop owners must scratch their head to come up with something new, quirky or different to entice shoppers through their front door. I’ve come up with a list that covers some of those reasons, but I am sure there are many more.

  • Opening a new store
  • Closing down
  • Stock-take
  • Mid season
  • End of season
  • Out of season
  • Any season – summer, winter, spring or autumn
  • End of line
  • Relocation
  • Easter, Christmas, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day
  • Rebranding
  • One day only
  • Number of years in business
  • End of lease
  • Liquidation
