Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.
Most people attribute this quote to Albert Einstein himself but in fact it hung on his office wall.
So what counts that can’t be counted? I think its things such as the loyalty and honesty true friends show, watching the sun rise over a calm harbour, the taste of peas fresh from their pod, or baking a cake for your neighbour.
And what can be counted that doesn’t count? In my view its things like how many pairs of Gucci shoes you own, how many exotic holidays do you take each year, how big your plasma screen is, or how many fancy labels hang in your wardrobe.
It’s all perception and what’s considered important by one person is unimportant to another.
